Training Centre's objectives 

The Primary purpose of this training centre is to prepare policemen for Nepal police service, who will lead/command the force with courage, uprightness, dedication and a strong sense of service to the people to peace and security.

The training centre will Endeavour to inculcate in them, such values and norms as would help them serve the people better. In particular, it will try to inculcate integrity of the highest order, sensitivity to aspirations of people in a fast changing social and economic milieu, respect for human rights, broad liberal perspective of law and justice, high standard of professionalism, physical fitness and mental alertness.

The training centre will be a focal point for basic training of the junior police officers as well as the police constables. It also provides consultancy services to sister training institutions for improving their management of trainings through tie-ups with similar institutions inside the country.

The training centre trains officers of the Nepal Police Service, who have been selected through an All Nepal based Civil Services Examination. The trained officers and constables will be posted anywhere in all over Nepal. Those Police personnel will be controlled by the Home Ministry of the Government of Nepal.

SA part from the Basic Training Course for Junior police officers and the police constables also conducts Compulsory Mid Career Training Programme for constable, head constable, assistant sub inspector and sub inspector levels of the Nepal Police Service; Training of Trainers' Courses for the trainers of various police trainings, short specialized thematic Courses, Seminars and Workshops on professional subjects for these levels of police personals.
